Technology and Innovation Division – A Significant Growth Engine for Solrom in the Coming Years

QCL lasers (Quantum Cascade Lasers) are semiconductor lasers that generate infrared radiation at various wavelengths.

The QCL laser market for military applications has been growing in recent years due to the increase in global defense budgets and the advantages of these lasers over traditional laser technologies for a wide range of defense applications, such as target identification, remote sensing, and more.

Solrom’s patented QCL technology offers advantages including high power output, competitive pricing, and high manufacturing efficiency compared to other QCL technologies in the market.

These capabilities enable the company to deliver precise and cost-effective solutions for a variety of systems, including DIRCM systems, sensors, laser designators, and surveillance systems across air, land, and sea platforms.

The company is focused on the growing global market of disruptive technologies for electronic warfare and is engaged in discussions for collaborations with various defense-sector clients. In October 2024, the company received its first order for QCL-based laser products manufactured by it from a major financially stable defense company operating in Israel.
